SSBM Textures

Prior to leaving Georgia, I was in regular attendance at Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments. Specifically, I went to a weekly regularly, ran a small series of locals, assisted with broadcasting a few local events, and volunteered at Florida's first major (Too Hot to Handle, Miami). Once I relocated to Georgia, whose scene was primarily located in Atlanta, relatively far from where I lived, I create SSBM Textures as a way to continue to connect with and give back to that hobby and community. The website was a home for melee textures and mods, such as reskined stages, characters, unique model edits, complete model imports and entirely new characters with user created movesets.

SSBM Textures was live from 2020-2026. The images below showcase what the site looked like while it was in operation and includes some statistics for the site while it was live. Users of the website were from all corners of the globe and at its peak the site sat within the top two results of most commonly used search engines when users searched for user created assets for melee.
